Lowcountry Lowdown - December

Lowcountry Lowdown December.png

Whether you’re still adjusting to the sight of bedecked palmettos in lieu of fraser firs, or if you’re veteran celebrant of the lowcountry’s version of “winter,” there’s a little something for everyone when it comes to enjoying the most wonderful time of the year here in lowcountry.

In Charleston county, even though the weather has temps have cooling slightly, the real estate market remains hot. Keep in mind that many sellers will be enjoying the season and celebrating with friends and family, just like, you, but I will always work diligently to secure showings no matter the time of year.

The most recent market reports show that for single-family detached homes, the inventory of new listings is down by 1.3% this year compared to last, and those which are selling are getting a whopping 94.9% of asking price.  Sales cycles are short, lasting 54 days on average - the same as last year. For those considering selling, sales prices are up all around from last year: +5.6% average and +6.8% median sales prices; and the overall year to date numbers are up as well: +7.7 and +5.5% respectively.

Wherever you’re hoping to move, I have access to all the resources necessary to ensure we find the best fit for you! You’ll be singing fa-la-la-la-la in your flip-flops before you know it!
